SOUTH PACIFIC - A Great Success! -
Our 2009 production of South Pacific played to sell out audiences for every one of its seven performances, and the cast have all returned looking sun tanned – although that’s probably just the make-up!
Audience reactions were very positive and all members of the cast were singled out for praise. The energetic chorus numbers were well received which was due to the work of our excellent production team, Ian Purves, Director, Margaret McAdie, Musical Director, and Rita Jane Kinloch, Choreographer. Our new and enthusiastic cast members all enjoyed the experience and we hope to see them all back next year.
We would like to thank both our old and new members for their commitment and enthusiasm, which certainly made for a first class show. Cast and Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank our audience for their support – it really makes a difference to the Club to be able to play to full houses every night and to hear the obvious enjoyment of the audience. Photos of the show will be posted here soon. We are all looking forward now to our next production.
CONCERT 14th and 15th September 2009
Following on from the success of our last two concerts, Colin Thomas has agreed to put together a new concert for us in September. The final theme has yet to be decided, but the concert will contain a wide variety of songs from shows old and new – you will certainly find some of your favourites in the programme. Keep watching this space for further details, and ticket bookings. Meanwhile keep the dates in your diary – tickets will go fast!.
2010 Production - Hello Dolly!
We will be starting production for our new show Hello Dolly! in September and are now looking to say, "Hello" to new members to add to our growing club. Applications for membership should be addressed to the Secretary via the link on these pages. There are vacancies now for both male and female members for this lively, tuneful and colourful show. The show calls for lots of chorus participation and there are a large number of good principal parts for performers of all ages. Again more details of the show and New Members auditions will be posted here.
